I captured this little fellow having a drink out of the birdbath I put out on my patio today. There were so many male and female finches along with some beautiful black capped chickadees taking turns at the feeder today. The male finches have such pretty red heads and breasts this time of year. I even saw a few beautiful yellow goldfinches but wasn't able to get a photo of any of them with my iPhone without spooking them. Get this....another, reason I am not a fan of crows, while I enjoyed watching the birds dance around my patio, a crow swarmed in and attacked one of the little goldfinches, knocking him to the ground where he then took cover under a plant between the flashing and wooden slats of my patio. Fortunately after about an hour he was no longer there so I am hopeful he recovered from his attack and is back with his feathered friends. Bad crow! Bad!
