Day 64 of Project 365+1 March 4, 2012
Today I played in my studio and finished my ATCs for my swap and I made some of my own Washi tape. I saw some great tutorials on Pinterest and was dying to try it and I love how they turned out! Day 63 of Project 365+1 March 3, 2012
I order some Letraset Aqua Markers from the UK last week and they arrived on Friday. I heard about these through Suzy Blu, mixed media artist extraordinaire. They are water colour markers that act like a marker but when you add water with your paintbrush and blend them, they work like water colour paints. No mess! Neat and tidy! And, they come in gorgeous vibrant colours. I'm loving them! As Suzy said, the water colour paper you use with them is of utmost importance. She recommends a hot pressed paper, not cold pressed and in particular Arches. I found mine at De Serres Art Store. It's expensive water colour paper, but WOW, does it ever make a big difference in how the paints bleed. Love it!

I'm working on my ATCs for the swap I called for the Paper Dolls. I'm crazy about mixed media these days and love painting these little dolls. I thought they would be appropriate for my ATC this time as it's what I'm currently loving. I hope the girls like them. Stay tuned for the final version when I'm done. For those of you who are not familiar with ATCs, it stands for Artist Trading Card and they are little miniature canvases of your art.

Kiss Me, I'm Irish - This beautiful new Pandora charm arrived at Gurvin Jewelers today and I thought since it was the first of March and I've got a wee bit of Irish blood in me, I would treat myself. It looks beautiful on my bracelet!

Day 54 of Project 365+1 February 23, 2012
We had some sad news last night and on my way home from work today, I noticed these Lily of the Valley growing under a beautiful old tree. I had to pull over and park so I could get out and take a photo. I got down on my knees and photographed them in several different angles. I liked this one the best. Not sure what it means, but I feel it was some sort of a sign in some way. Feeling a little sad these last couple days and perhaps I'm looking for some symbol of hope. These flowers today made me feel that way. Life is precious, embrace it, be kind to one another and enjoy the little things in life, for those little things are what we are made of.
