Emily and I went for a stroll today and did a little window shopping. I captured these beautiful Gerber flowers at one of the local flower shops.

Day 72 of Project 365+1 March 12, 2012
Emily is loving Cooking these days and decided to make these delicious fruit tarts today. She'll be taking Cooking all year next for her elective she likes it so much. I guess her creative streak may fall in line more with her father's than mine!
And here is my Take Twelve Collage. Three months done, 9 more to go. So far I'm keeping up and have my photos all organized so hopefully it won't be too daunting a task to print out my 144 photos at the end of the year and create my Take Twelve album. Having fun with it so far!

Day 64 of Project 365+1 March 4, 2012
Today I played in my studio and finished my ATCs for my swap and I made some of my own Washi tape. I saw some great tutorials on Pinterest and was dying to try it and I love how they turned out! Can't wait to use them in my Smash Journal. Check out my main blog to see a close up of the Washi tape. Thanks for stopping by :)

Day 63 of Project 365+1 March 3, 2012
I order some Letraset Aqua Markers from the UK last week and they arrived on Friday. I heard about these through Suzy Blu, mixed media artist extraordinaire. They are water colour markers that act like a marker but when you add water with your paintbrush and blend them, they work like water colour paints. No mess! Neat and tidy! And, they come in gorgeous vibrant colours. I'm loving them! As Suzy said, the water colour paper you use with them is of utmost importance. She recommends a hot pressed paper, not cold pressed and in particular Arches. I found mine at De Serres Art Store. It's expensive water colour paper, but WOW, does it ever make a big difference in how the paints bleed. Love it!
Day 62 of Project 365+1 March 2, 2012
I'm working on my ATCs for the swap I called for the Paper Dolls. I'm crazy about mixed media these days and love painting these little dolls. I thought they would be appropriate for my ATC this time as it's what I'm currently loving. I hope the girls like them. Stay tuned for the final version when I'm done. For those of you who are not familiar with ATCs, it stands for Artist Trading Card and they are little miniature canvases of your art.
